Seaside Seabird Sanctuary was my Halloween destination. A friend is one of their volunteers who are essential to enabling this facility to fulfill it’s mission. It’s a rehab facility for injured birds, and a home for some who’s injuries will keep them from ever returning to the wild. The hope is that these birds become beautiful ambassadors who help inspire people to take better care of this world and all it’s wonderful creatures.
I’m a little confused about the vulture(s) who seemed to be free to come and go. It seems as if they’ve made themselves right at home…
