We had a fun group of people for the horse races yesterday at Tampa Bay Downs. We will have one more group outing there next month, and then the season is over.
The gate was placed perfectly for photographers for the first race of the day. I went into the grandstand and to shoot this angle to see them right out of the gate. From that angle I had a pretty good view of the final turn also. And the feature photo is of the winner, #1!This was the second race and we had walked down to the rail at that final turn, where the horses are coming right at you as they round the turn. I was back inside the grandstand for this turf race. It’s the only way for short people to overcome the railings that block our view at ground level.
Just another opportunity to get out and enjoy our wonderful weather before summer comes.
